The Coming of Jesus

The Coming of Jesus   Jesus you’ve come into our lives and made it whole And many lessons you did teach Some of sorrows, joys and pain Those that ought to put us to shame   If it wasn’t for that Christmas day None of us would have been here For your love and care has made us rich And your power has kept us in its grip   You were a little babe in the manger Who should have been brought up without a care But you chose to do God’s will And gave your breath away   After all that you have done for us Shouldn’t we Christians change our ways ? For what is life worth living Without you in every way ? -- yvonne fernandes

In the palm of God's hands

IN THE PALM OF GOD'S HANDS The stillness in the sky The calm before the storm As I rode upon God's highway All clear till early dawn What on earth does matter? Who would even care? If a leaf drips in it's slumber Or If a tear has wet my bed Lay your head upon the rock Rest the stirring soul till bare All that is precious - can be locked Life can now be doubly shared Yvonne Fernandes

My love - my baby Abilene

My first poem to Abby I’ll share it with you   It’s way too simple But you can smile with your dimple Cause I was on a roll The verse -first of many, from my list of goals 😊       To my love – my baby Abilene   My baby is sweet My baby is cute My baby is just too good We can’t believe it’s true   She lights up our lives With her really broad dimpled smile You could call it a happy laugh Or just joy brimming Which makes it all worthwhile :-)   Abby knows the difference Of paper and plastic But she needs to taste it first Her grasp is far reaching   She’ll look & look She’ll observe everything like mad Then she goes berserk And scatters and runs wild – oh my bad !   We don’t mind – minding her She’s truly a bundle You can hold & cuddle She actually bursts like a bubble   Yvonne Fernandes
